The ColloCaid team were in Sintra taking part in eLex 2019.
On September 30th, at the pre-conference workshop on Collocations in Lexicography, we presented a paper about lessons from Human Computer Interaction (HCI) research for the presentation of collocations in e-lexicography. We drew heavily on examples from the development of ColloCaid to show how concepts and techniques from HCI could be usefully applied to the presentation of collocations in electronic resources.
On Tuesday 1st October we presented the paper: Slipping through the cracks of e-lexicography: lessons from ColloCaid which summarised the great benefits e-lexicographic techniques brought in the development of ColloCaid and as well as the potential pitfalls of their uncritical use (video).
On Wednesday 2nd we gave hands of demo of prototype version 0.4 of ColloCaid.
